This strap is soft and supple, very comfortable and sturdy. For me, however, it's a tad too long, I'm a small woman, and need a short strap. My jumbo guitar, however, is heavy maple, and a shoestring button on a regular strap would never hold it! The 4 rating is only because of the lenght. I got it to work now, but as it ages and stretches out, it will be too long, and I'll have to look elsewhere for a strap for my jumbo.

OK strap... a little short. - Derf - Florida
The good - Strap looks good and seems fairly sturdy. It should last a long time.

The bad - it's a little on the short side. I'm no Jimmy Page wanna-be (ie I don't wear my guitars down to my knees), but this strap was just a tad too short for my explorer. It seems to work OK with the more traditionally-styled guitars (Strat, Les Paul, etc), though.

Also, the graphic is silk-screened onto a shiny, almost plastic-looking material that is adhered to the leather... not so sure how well this will hold up, but it looks interesting.

The Bass Chorus is the first in Carl Martin's new line of bass effects. Although similar in function to the older Chorus XII, it is housed in the new wider/lower metal housing with 'chicken-head knobs' for adjustment. Of course, the quality remains the same, and the new housing also encloses the regulated +/-12V power supply for maximum headroom and clarity. So why design a special chorus just for bass? Most chorus effects in the marketplace are designed for guitar use and therefore are mid-range heavy. The Bass Chorus has been extensively fine-tuned so that the full effect of the chorus is evident as far down as low B. Like its' predecessor, the Bass Chorus is a dual stereo effects pedal with independent sets of speed and depth controls. The 'Select' button allows you to use or bypass the effect and the 'On' button allows you to choose between your two chorus settings. I'm a novice guitar player looking to learn bass, since I don't know anyone who plays one. This instrument surpassed my expectations on sound, quality, and factory setup. From the factory, this bass has lower action than my Combo/Selmer acoustic guitar did (and that's not a bass). Intonation at fret 12 is almost perfect on the factory setup, which is a very pleasant surprise to me.

The only quirk I've found so far is a very slight buzz down by the bridge on low E struck hard. I bet the player is the only person who can hear it, though.

A pro might find some faults with it, but I believe it will do well at all the bass playing I expect to do, given my skill level.

Fantastic Bass - Stuart Stein -
I have been playing bass off and on for almost 30 years now, but never tried an acoustic bass guitar. I thought that it was time. This bass lives up to all the positive reviews. Fun to play and well built. Pickup is a little weak, but I don't plan to plug it in anyway. I purchased a hard shell case from Musicians Friend and now I am set. Well worth the money.
